Upgrading to When I fire up a game it sits at Very wierd. I have the same or at least similar issue. I ran one of the memory diags as requested by Blizz. It took over 24 hours. After doing that, D3 ran fine for about 4 - 6 months. After 19 season of d3, if it comes down to d3 and the cost of upgrading to another laptop, d3 goes.
Only D3 64 bit crashes. Lets try reinstalling them using the following instructions: Let's remove the old drivers via a program called DDU Display Driver Uninstaller Once that's installed, go ahead and run the program.
I did notice that in older version of Windows 10 these freezes were happening as well, however they only last at most a second. Looks like in Windows 10 , when it happens, the game hangs for seconds. Could be due to WDDM 2. Updated to latest Nvidia drivers, But this time I was able to get error readout in DxDiag:. People are saying that reverting OS version works but I would hate having to do this. This is a workaround not a fix.
