Windows Server refuses to instal this app Federico Alves May Federico Alves. I am the Administrator of this box, and furthermore I right-click into the setup program and choose "run as an administrator", but Windows refuses flatly to install the application, saying: "Your administrator has blocked this application because it potentially poses a security risk to your computer".

I am the administrator and my registry does not have any such prohibition. What is going on? Hi, I would really like to test out this app but no matter what I do when I download the executable and run it, I always get the 'database is locked' error message when trying to create a add a new client. I have tested this now on 2 pcs, one running Windows 7 and another running Windows I have also attempted to get the source code running so that I can potentially debug and fix the error but because this software uses tons of dlls, many of which absolutely need to be the exact version, I have so far been unsuccessful.

I was able to resolve all dependency issues and get the code to build and compile but when I run the application from source it gives me an SQLiteException: library routine called out of sequence error near the beginning of the application load, after entering the password to continue into the app.

I assume this is because of using mismatched dll versions but I have already tried a number of things to resolve this issue and I'm just running around in circles it seems. A new build to fix the 'database is locked' error when trying to add clients would be appreciated or at least an explanation on how to fix it.

Thank you modified 6-Jun pm. Database is locked almend Feb There is a problem with the library System. It's really a mess, because makes it impossible to execute the application, and finally anyone at least me wants the RDP features, not the DB stuff. Awesome but missing an important feature KyferEz Sep Jayson, One key feature of groups in other remote applications I have used is the ability to set configuration settings in the group. These settings would then be inherited as the default setting for any server in that group unless a setting is overridden the settings don't copy down, they are inherited so if the group is changed it auto applies to the servers except where exceptions are made in the server.

Ideally Every setting available for a server would also be available in the Group. Very handy when you have clients with dozens of servers. The other app I've used also has sub-grouping. Where sub-groups would inherit the settings of the parent group. The other app is called Remote Desktop Manager 2.

The reason I'm asking for you to implement features are there are a number of issues with that application that I expect won't be in your app Even better would be the ability to import servers, groups, and all settings from Remote Desktop Manager!

Thanks for considering these features! Does this work under windows 8? Re: Does this work under windows 8? Server save problem, unhandled exception error! I believe I first need to request one from the certificate server in my domain, but I cant seem to find instructions on how to do this.

Thanks for your reply. This is the problem I am having I understand how to digitally sign the RDP as per the instructions Once saved on the TS Server - double click it.

It will offer you to save the certificate. Do so and you are done. Thanks for your reply, but that article doesnt seem to be relevant; "This article will walk you through the process of ordering an SSL certificate from a commericial certificate authority and installing it on an IIS 7 Windows Server machine.

I'll just clarify; We have Server 1 which is a certificate authority server on the domain We have server 2 which is running Terminal Services Gateway, and several remote apps, for which I want to generate and digitally sign the RDP files It would seem te process of signing them is quite easy, but the problem is that when I get the box up to select a certificate for the RDP file there are no certificates listed.

So, I have read I need to request from from our in-house certificate authority server. This is where I am stuck. I have seen mention of using an MMC snap in to request a certificate, but havent been able to find exactly how to do it. Thank you for any help. Thursday, August 6, AM. The easiest way, at least for me, is to create the request from IIS. Then export the certificate and import it into the server you want. Is your internal CA a standalone or enterprise?

Since that is what it will be compared against when your users connect. The link says the following; Open Certificates - Current User. In the console tree, click Certificates - Current User. Okay I think this will help you the best to gain some knowhow on how to apply for a certificate. I think you need to read that just to give you an idea, because you sound like you have a very basci knowledge about that.

However, on this server despite the fact everything is telling me that a certificates are installed, there are none listed when I try to change it from app manager. Oh I see. I thought you never dont it before. Add a comment. Active Oldest Votes. You can call mstsc.

First, I've found that an option on the server is needed to enable Terminal Service autologin. Double-click the rdp-tcp connection, and then click Advanced. If you want to modify properties for ICA clients, double-click the ica-rdp connection instead, and then click Properties. In the AutoLogon section, click to clear the Prompt for Password check box.
